Through this release, the app is bumped to version 1.1.124 and comes with a single interesting new feature. Specifically, SMS Organizer can now support voice dictation for messages. In the app, Microsoft as tweaked the UI to now include a little microphone icon in the bottom right corner. When this button is pressed the app will start recording. Users can now dictate their messages to the app instead of typing. Of course, this ability has been on messaging services for some time, but it is an important tool nonetheless and one we are glad to see come to SMS Organizer. Microsoft says it will be rolling out the feature in stages. If you are interested in SMS Organizer, check out the app on Google Play here.
Usefulness
As mentioned, SMS Organizer is a useful tool despite the popularity of services like WhatsApp. At the moment it is only available in India, where many areas do not have the connection power to send messages online. SMS still plays a vital communication role in low-connectivity locations. Microsoft describes the app as a great alternative to the stock Android messaging app. “It automatically organizes all your SMS into Personal, Transactional and Promotional category to help you declutter your SMS Inbox so that you never miss any important message. Switch to SMS Organizer as your default SMS App to have the smartest SMS inbox experience ever.”
