On iOS, users will now see a new design for the board picker. Microsoft has updated the app to version 1.19191103 and says the new board picker is more efficient. Users can now find boards more quickly. Below is the company’s description of the changes in the latest Whiteboard update: “The board picker has a whole new look! It’s now easier to find boards you’ve been invited to join as board titles, last modified dates, and collaboration status are all more visible. We’ve addressed a bug that occasionally caused a loading issue at start-up for certain devices. Plus there are several animation improvements and bug fixes throughout the app.” Whiteboard was launched by Microsoft early in 2018. The app is a collaborative service that works with inking features within Microsoft Office. Users can write content on the screen and share it with multiple users on other devices. Functional locally or online, the service works with mouse, keyboard, pen, and touch. Documents sync automatically to the loud for use on any PC at a later date and inviting another user is as easy as sharing a link. While collaborating, users see a little avatar to signify the work of another user, and color choices provide further clarity.

Whiteboard Education

In November, Microsoft introduced Whiteboard Education on Windows and iPad. The software differs from the usual whiteboard software in its student and teacher focused feature set. The idea is to give teachers the ability to control a lesson while integrating things like stickers for polls.
